During my lunch hour today the thought occurred to me, "What are other writers out there reading?" In my mind I have the image of a bohemian spirit holed up in the dark corner of a coffee shop reading a leather bound diamond in the rough the rest of the population has never heard of. Kind of like that one audiophile friend everyone has who knows about all of the really good, but unheard of bands.
But how does one find the answer to this question? There's got to be someone that compiles lists of stuff like this out there right? The first one that comes to mind is the New York Times Best Seller List (http://tinyurl.com/3mg9z) But this list is based on sales to the general public. So I did a little more digging on the web and googled 'what are authors reading' and I found this website: http://www.goodreads.com/author it has a collection of authors who have signed up on the site and books they have read and rated on their "bookshelf." I was really glad to have stumbled upon this site. Now I can look up some of my favorite authors and see what they are reading.
So what are you reading right now? I'd love to know. Drop me a line in the comments (which should be available to all now) on this post. If you've got any great reading list websites please share those as well!

Whether youre a Gilmore Girls fan or not, it's got everything from must read classics to modern prose.
www.listsofbests.com also has other book lists by genre too. It's a great site for finding your next favorite book.
Right now, I'm reading two books not my norm, Helter Skelter and Prince of Tides. I keep a reading list of books I'm reading and have read on my site: http://lorisizemore.com/?page_id=19
Wow I am enamored with your blog. Great title! and how the heck did you get it so good looking?
Thank you so much! As for how I got the blog to look this way I searched for free blogger templates. One of the better sites I found was here: http://www.bloggertemplatesfree.com/
Thanks again for stopping by and checking out my blog!
I'm reading Darkly dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, re-reading DragonLance and Discworld novels,a whole bunch of norwegian novels and The Bartholomew series :)
I've just finished Lori Copeland's The Christmas Lamp ... kinda predictable but a fast read.
Before that I caught up with Elizabeth Moon's Sheepherder's Daughter. It's an older work but I just found an ebook version at the Baen Free Library so I got a chance to catch up. I may have to get the omnibus trilogy now.
After I finish the latest edits :\
I think you would enjoy "Mennonite in a Little Black Dress." Highly entertaining (and as far away from law school as I could get, lol).
